With the clock ticking down, Lyday rushed onto the field and calmly split the uprights on a clutch game winner from 24-yards out with just :12 seconds left. His football career was capped off by being named the all-district kicker in 5A-3.
Lyday’s talent is not confined to the athletic fields or gym. He won the 2024 Durant High School Talent Show and has recorded a 3.98 grade point average in the classroom. He is a member of the Oklahoma Honor Society and Oklahoma Indian Honor Society and future plans include attending Southeastern Oklahoma State University where hopes to kick for the Savage Storm football team and to pursue a business degree.
