Cole Robbins and Jolie McWilliams Honored By Shamrock Bank

Cole Robbins and Jolie McWilliams of Durant High School have been selected as the Shamrock Bank Impact Athlete and Performing Arts Students of the month for March 2025.

A junior, Robbins is a three-year starter on the DHS baseball and football teams.

In the spring, Cole spends his time moving between the infield and pitching.  In his first two seasons, he led the team in stolen bases, runs scored and ranked near the top in drawing walks. As a freshman, he was named all-honorable mention All-District at shortstop and then followed that up by being named All-District third baseman his sophomore year.

On the mound, Robbins has been the ace and the workhorse of the pitching staff. Over his freshman and sophomore campaigns, he led the team in victories, innings pitched and strikeouts. This season, as a district starter, he has continued to pitch well topping the club in innings pitched and is second in strikeouts.

At the plate, Cole is hitting a robust .382 and continues to be a base stealing threat.

“Cole is an outstanding competitor on and off the field,” DHS baseball coach JW Parsons said.  ” When Cole is on the mound, we play with confidence because we know he is going to give us a chance.”

“I have had the privilege to watch Cole grow from his little league days and now have the honor of coaching him at the varsity level. His hard work and dedication is paying off.”

In the fall, Cole has been a key component of the DHS football team since joining the varsity

As a sophomore, he led the team in rushing with 819 yards and eight touchdowns. He ran for 44o yards with ten rushing touchdowns and completed 109-202 passes for 1206 yards and six aerial scores. He was also named All-District quarterback.

In addition, Robbins hones his skills by powerlifting and by participating in seven-on-seven off season football and summer travel baseball.

He also works as a summer lifeguard at the Durant city pool.

Cole has compiled a 3.6 grade point average and is weighing options for college choices based off recruitment in both football and baseball. He has yet  to decide on a major. But, is leaning heavily toward marine biology.
