Hadley Perrin and Elizabeth Smith of Durant High School are the April 2026 Shamrock Bank honorees as “Impact Athlete ” and “Performing Arts” students of the month.
Hadley, a junior, is a three year starter for the Lady Lions tennis team. As the number one singles player, the junior has qualified for the Class 5A state tournament and medaled in multiple tournaments each spring.

“Hadley has been a huge part of our tennis team over the last several years,” DHS head tennis coach Jonathan Rodriguez said. ” She has accepted every challenge and faced it head on. I am so proud of her for all of her accomplishments and excited to watch her grow even more over the next year.”
In addition to tennis, Hadley is heavily involved and highly decorated in the HOSA program which prepares students for careers in health-related professions.
She is a two-time HOSA State Qualifier. This year at state , she turned in a first place showing in Pharmacy Science and received recognition in the Leadership category.

“Through this program I have observed at multiple healthcare facilities in my community,” Hadley said. ” I have learned about a variety of healthcare careers and met with healthcare leaders who have shaped my understanding of service, leadership, and patient care.”
Her involvement doesn’t stop with HOSA.
She has devoted approximately 250 high school volunteer hours to several causes including The Pregnancy Center of Bryan County, blood drives, tennis camps, Vacation Bible School and more.
An outstanding student, Hadley has recorded a 4.13 grade point average and has qualified for the National Honor Society. After high school, she intends to pursue a health profession at the University of Oklahoma.
Josh and Melissa Perrin are her parents. She has one sister, Aubrey.

Her honors are impressive.

“Liz is a wonderful young lady,” Durant Public Schools Band Director Chris Gregg said. ” She has a very infectious personality and always has a smile for everyone. Liz is also a great flautist. She will be missed by the Pride of Durant next year.”

Away from school, she is active in youth activities at the First Baptist Church in Durant and also holds down at job at “The Old Ice House” restaurant in Durant.
A 3.4 student, her future plans include pursuing a nursing degree at Murray State Junior College and Central Oklahoma University.
